We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Social Media Manager/Marketer to develop and implement our social media strategy.  The ideal candidate will be passionate about security and possess a strong understanding of the Nigerian market.  They will be responsible for building brand awareness, generating leads, and engaging with our target audience online.  This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills, a data-driven approach, and a proven ability to manage multiple social media platforms effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategy Development & Implementation:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with our business objectives.
  • Conduct thorough audience research to identify target demographics and their online behavior.
  • Create engaging content calendars that resonate with our target audience (businesses, individuals, etc.).
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, algorithms, and best practices.
  • Analyze competitor social media strategies and identify opportunities for differentiation.

 Content Creation & Curation:

  • Create high-quality, informative, and engaging content (text, images, videos, infographics) related to security topics relevant to the Nigerian context. Examples:
  • Security tips for businesses and individuals.
  • Insights into current security challenges in Nigeria.
  • Success stories and testimonials (with client permission).
  • Behind-the-scenes glimpses of your company's operations (if appropriate).
  • Explainer videos on security concepts.
  • Curate relevant content from reputable sources.

 Community Management:

  • Build and nurture online communities across various social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram).
  • Respond promptly and professionally to comments, messages, and inquiries.
  • Monitor social media channels for brand mentions and engage in relevant conversations.
  • Address customer service issues and escalate concerns as needed.

 Social Media Advertising:

  • Plan and execute paid social media campaigns to reach a wider audience.
  • Manage advertising budgets effectively and optimize campaigns for maximum ROI.
  • Track and analyze campaign performance metrics.

 Analytics & Reporting:

  • Monitor social media performance using analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, platform-specific analytics).
  • Generate regular reports on key metrics (reach, engagement, website traffic, lead generation).
  • Analyze data to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement.

 Brand Building:

  • Maintain a consistent brand voice and messaging across all social media platforms.
  • Promote the company's reputation as a trusted security advisor in Nigeria.
  • Collaborate with other marketing teams (if applicable) to ensure brand consistency.

 Crisis Management:

  • Develop and implement a social media crisis communication plan.
  • Monitor social media for potential crises and escalate issues as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Proven experience 5 years as a Social Media Manager/Marketer, preferably in the security industry or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of the Nigerian social media landscape and online culture.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (and other relevant Nigerian languages are a plus).
  • Collaborate with other marketing teams to ensure brand consistency.
  • Proficiency in using social media platforms and management tools.
  • Experience with social media advertising and analytics.
  • Behind-the-scenes glimpses of your company's operations.
  • Ability to create visually appealing content.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
