Job Summary
- We are seeking a creative and results-driven Social Media Officer to join our team in Port Harcourt.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing our social media presence, developing engaging content, growing our audience, and supporting the firm’s brand and communication goals.
- This role is ideal for someone with a passion for storytelling, strategy, and digital engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement social media strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Create, schedule, and publish engaging content across platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc.).
- Monitor, analyze, and report on performance metrics (engagement, reach, conversions).
- Stay up to date with current trends, tools, and applications in digital marketing and social media.
- Engage with online audiences and respond to comments/messages promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support marketing campaigns and branding initiatives.
- Assist with the creation of newsletters, blog posts, and digital campaigns.
- Monitor competitors’ activities and provide actionable insights.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, English, or related field.
- 2 - 3 years proven experience in social media management, preferably in a corporate or agency setting.
- Proficiency in tools such as Canva, Hootsuite, Buffer, Meta Business Suite, etc.
- Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of SEO, analytics, and paid ad strategies is a plus.
- Creative thinker with attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
