Job Summary

We are looking for a talented Station Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our studio, ensuring efficient and effective management of projects, teams, and resources. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Manage studio operations, including programme or project scheduling, resource allocation, and budgeting in alignment with the overall organizational vision and objective.
  • Supervise, mentor and train team members, providing guidance and support as needed
  • Ensure high-quality output that meets quality and ethics.
  • Respond, attend to commercial and partnership briefs and opportunities, create client workplan and exceed client expectations.
  • Develop and implement studio processes and procedures, optimizing efficiency and productivity
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, production, and marketing
  • Generating ideas for on-air contents and programmes that would underline green growth, sustainability, and environmental conservation to attract the right audience
  • Possess excellent editorial judgement,
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices, applying knowledge to continuously improve studio operations.
  • Develop strategies to grow and maintain studio audience through marketing, promotion, and programme engagement.
  • Oversee technical infrastructure of the studio, including broadcast equipment and IT systems.
  • Avoid, handle, and manage technical crisis through effective problem-solving skills
  • Develop a studio policy for clientele engagement

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in broadcasting, journalism, communications, and any other related field. At least 3-5 years of experience in a studio management or related role
  • Proven record of accomplishment of successful project management and team leadership
  • Excellent communication, organizational, forward planning, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines
