Job Summary
- The Nigerian Exchange is seeking a highly skilled, solution oriented and result driven individual to join our team. S/he will be responsible for overseeing deployment and management of NGX Group’s Technology infrastructure. S/he must be a professional who can combine deep technical expertise with strong leadership capabilities to drive Infrastructure initiatives, ensure system uptime, and optimise performance across Data Centers, Servers, and Cloud environments.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute Infrastructure related projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget optimisation, and minimal business disruptions;
- Develop, review and maintain Technology Services related policies, guidelines, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs);
- Conducting regular research and liaising with all relevant stakeholders across various industries to ensure global best practice in the organisation;
- Ensuring all Infrastructure systems are highly available, scalable, and resilient through continuous monitoring and performance optimisation;
- Maintain comprehensive Infrastructure documentation and enforce strict adherence to Architecture and Operational Standards.
- Implement and maintain robust security controls ensuring Compliance with Internal Policies and Regulatory Standards.
- Oversee daily operations and management of NGX Group’s IT infrastructure, encompassing servers (Windows and Linux environments), Networks, Data storage systems, and Cloud platforms;
- Develop, test, and maintain Disaster Recovery as well as Business Continuity Plans for critical Infrastructure components;
- Work closely with Technology and Business teams to align Infrastructure services with strategic business needs;
- Manage third-party service providers, review SLAs, and ensure highest quality of outsourced Infrastructure services;
- Identify opportunities for automation, modernization, and cost savings across Infrastructure landscape.
Person Specification & Required Qualification (s)
- HND/B.Sc. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or any related field;
- Minimum of 10 years’ cognate experience in server/desktop administration preferably within an exchange or financial services organisation;
- Strong hands-on knowledge of servers, storage systems, networking, virtualization (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), and cloud infrastructure (e.g., Azure, AWS);
- Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices, compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, ITIL), and access control mechanisms;
- Proficiency in configuring and managing enterprise LAN networks and firewalls;
- Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, Zabbix) and scripting/automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash);
- Professional certification in at least Two of the following is compulsory;
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Solutions Architect, or equivalent,
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Cloud Practitioner,
- Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP),
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP),
- ITIL v3 or v4 Foundation or higher,
- Security certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CISM).
- Strong Leadership, People Management, problem solving, innovation, collaboration and Communication skills.
