Description
The Tracking Officer for Dangote Cement Transport (DCT) is essential in managing and monitoring the movement of cement trucks throughout the logistics network. This role involves utilizing sophisticated tracking systems to ensure timely delivery, optimize routes, and maintain safety protocols for all assigned vehicles.
- Monitor and track the movement of DCT trucks using the designated tracking software.
- Generate real-time reports on vehicle locations, speeds, and delivery status.
- Route mapping to determine the exact AGO to be issued for all destinations.
- Reporting of any illegal activity carried out with company trucks.
- Caution and advise drivers who engage in over speeding beyond the specified speed limit.
- Collaborate with logistics and transportation teams to ensure operational efficiency.
- Identify and resolve potential delays or issues during transportation.
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends or areas for improvement in delivery processes.
- Maintain accurate records of truck movements and incidents within the tracking database.
- Provide feedback and suggestions to management for performance enhancement of DCT operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Computer Science, Information Technology, Logistics, Transport Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in logistics, fleet management, or tracking roles.
- Strong proficiency in tracking software and technology.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities.
- Good understanding of Nigerian geographical locations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
