Chain Reactions Nigeria is the product of a knowledge-driven brand migration process which began as a media services firm first known as Image Savvy Ltd in 2006. Passing through the global partnership network of the Wisdom Keys Group based in South Africa in the year 2008, we evolved into an independent full service PR and Reputation Management Consultancy known and referred to as Chain Reactions Nigeria in the year 2010.
- The Brand and Communications Executive will be responsible for developing and implementing brand communication strategies, and managing aspects of our client's corporate brands, including brand messaging, positioning, and visual identity, and its brand portfolio.
Key duties will include:
- Proven experience in developing and executing successful communication campaigns for corporate clients
- Manage all aspects of on-site public relations, including media outreach with local and industry press, crisis communication planning, and community engagement initiatives
- Build and maintain positive relationships with local media outlets, journalists, industry influencers, and community stakeholders
- Provide regular updates and reports on media coverage, industry trends, and community sentiment
- Support with logistics and coordination for client events, media visits, and community engagement activities
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills, with the ability to tailor content for diverse audiences
- Deep understanding of the oil and gas industry, its stakeholders, current issues, and relevant trends
- Experience in crisis communication and media relations is an advantage
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Ability to build strong relationships and work effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, including client personnel, media representatives, and community members
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field, an MBA or Master’s Degree will be an advantage
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in brand management and communication, preferably within the Oil & Gas industry
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills, with the ability to tailor content for diverse audiences, including technical stakeholders.
- Proven experience developing and executing successful communication campaigns
- Strong understanding of media platforms and best practices in a B2B environment
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and adapt to a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and a proactive approach
- Ability to build strong relationships and work effectively with a variety of stakeholders, including internal and client teams, media, and community members
Added Advantage
- In-depth knowledge of the Nigerian oil and gas industry and the Port Harcourt terrain
- Candidates must reside in Rivers state, Port Harcourt, or be willing to travel or relocate
- Experience working in the South-South Region, especially Rivers State
