Job Description
- Stakeholder Engagement Management/Reporting: Engage with local communities and stakeholders to build trust and secure their cooperation, ensuring smooth operations. Provide regular reporting to keep the company informed of community dynamics and concerns.
- Social License & Operational Support: Secure and maintain the social license to operate by gaining community consent for drilling, engineering, and maintenance activities. This supports uninterrupted operations while addressing local concerns.
- GMoU, CSR, & Social Investment Programmes: Partake in negotiations, performance monitoring, and capacity building related to Global Memorandum of Understanding (GMoU) and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs. This fosters economic and social development in the community.
Requirements
- B.Sc. in Public Relations, Communications, Humanities or other Social Sciences.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in community relations, public relations preferably within an upstream oil & gas company.
- Experience in managing community issues for corporate aspects or community development projects.
- Ability to assist to develop and implement community liaison strategies
- Ability to manage expectations and relentless ability for continuous engagements with community leaders
- Good communication (oral and written communication), interpersonal and presentation skills; and ability to expand relationships
