Job Summary:
- As the Content Marketing and Operations Lead at Artdey, you will be responsible for developing and executing Artdey’s digital marketing strategies, including social media management, content creation, and email marketing. You will also oversee the art sourcing and licensing process, ensuring that artworks are accurately represented and successfully sold or licensed.
Content Marketing Responsibilities
- Social Media & Campaign Planning: Develop and execute campaigns to promote African art, engage followers, and boost visibility through high-quality content across social media platforms, ensuring consistent branding.
- Email Marketing & Newsletters: Create and send newsletters combining art, trends, and pop culture, especially on platforms like Substack.
- Artist Spotlights & Content Marketing: Conduct interviews with African artists to highlight their work and repurpose content for social media, newsletters, and blogs.
Operations Responsibilities
- Art Sourcing, Curation & Licensing: Source, curate, and onboard new artworks for the gallery. Manage licensing opportunities and update the Art Licensing Sheet.
- Artist Relations & Onboarding: Build and maintain relationships with artists, and manage administrative tasks, including drafting and sending contracts.
- Inventory Management & Photography: Organize and track inventory, ensure accurate listings with proper descriptions and pricing, and capture high-quality photos of artworks using both iPhone and DSLR cameras.
- Shipping & Delivery Coordination: Package artwork securely with certificates of authenticity, coordinate logistics, and prepare waybills for timely delivery.
- Occasionally Schedule Viewings & Art Installations: Arrange viewings for potential buyers and supervise installations at customer locations.
Experience & Skills:
- Proven experience in content marketing, social media management, and email marketing.
- Basic photography skills with experience using both iPhone and DSLR cameras (nice to have).
- Proficiency with platforms like Substack, Shopify, and social media management tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic understanding of art licensing and inventory management (nice to have).
