Job Summary

Reporting to the Head of the Control Room, the Control Room Administrative Officer will work in our 24/7 Control Room and undertake a wide range of tasks including:

  • Receive and make phone calls from/to customers, and attend to their requests promptly and politely, whilst ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Monitor and track customer vehicles as well as collaborate with the Vehicle Retrieval Team to recover the vehicles in instances of theft and repossessions
  • Assist the Sales Team in handling issues from customers related to tracking reports, service subscriptions, and so on
  • Carry out efficient and accurate tracking updates based using our different tracking platforms
  • Generate detailed reports of a vehicle’s activities upon request by our customers
  • Make on-the-spot judgments regarding the immediate action required when incidents arise
  • Monitor and receive all emergency calls, messages and alarms and respond accordingly
  • Configuration of different types of tracking devices to perform as required on our different tracking platforms

Responsibilities

  •  Keep the office and its contents safe
  • Manage the company's customers whilst on duty and escalate extra-ordinary issues.
  • Knowledge of geography, with the ability to analyze and interpret mapping data
  • Strong customer relation skills, analytical with problem solving skills
  • Ability to work shifts, under pressure, and in a stressful environment
  • Basic knowledge of tracking systems
  • Ability to think on your feet, remain calm and assertive and assist customers in all situations

Qualifications

  • Minimum post 2 years post qualification experience in Bsc/HND in Computer Science, Geography, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, etc
  • Excellent written and oral English skills, and the ability to remain calm and focused under pressure
  • Must be cordial with excellent communication skills
  • Available to work both weekends and overnight
  • Computer literate with above average IT skills, an understanding of local area networks, and proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel
  • An understanding of vehicle tracking services
  • Must be able to both understand and interpret maps, and the layout of maps

The ideal candidates:

  • Must be young and energetic
  • Must be resident in Lagos
  • Must be of extremely high integrity, confident, corporate appearance and motivated for the job
  • Must be high calibre graduate with exceptional map reading and IT skills
