Reports to: Control Room Supervisor 

We are a leading outsourcing firm providing essential operational support to businesses across diverse industries. As part of our commitment to delivering high-quality services, we are looking to hire a skilled Control Room Operator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the monitoring and smooth functioning of all systems within our control room, ensuring the uninterrupted delivery of services to our clients.

Job Overview:

The Control Room Operator is responsible for monitoring, operating, and maintaining control systems within a centralized control room. This role requires quick thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to manage high-pressure situations. You will act as the first point of contact for handling any system-related emergencies, ensuring that operations continue without interruption.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring Operations: Oversee live operations of various systems such as security, HVAC, fire alarms, and CCTV monitoring to ensure all equipment is functioning properly.
  • Incident Management: Detect and assess system alarms or irregularities, escalating issues when necessary, and coordinating with relevant teams to resolve any disruptions promptly.
  • Reporting: Maintain accurate logs of incidents, system statuses, and operational issues, submitting detailed reports at the end of each shift.
  • Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure efficient problem resolution and communication during emergencies.
  • System Updates and Maintenance: Perform routine checks and preventative maintenance on control room equipment to avoid system failures.
  • Compliance: Adhere to established safety protocols and industry regulations to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Training and Support: Assist with the training of new operators, providing guidance on best practices and procedures.

Requirements:

  •  Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields such as IT, Engineering, or Operations is a plus).
  • Proven experience as a Control Room Operator, Security Operator, or similar role in an industrial or operational environment.
  • Strong understanding of control systems, safety protocols, and emergency response procedures.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in using control room software, CCTV systems, and other monitoring technologies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with security operations or facility management.
  • Technical certifications or specialized training in monitoring equipment or emergency response.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific software or control platforms.
