THE ROLE

  • The Digital Account Manager must be a self-driven and ambitious tech-savvy creative professional who is expected to be experienced in social media, PR, and social engagements, managing all digital communities (including but not limited to social media) communications, developing and maintaining a practical knowledge of the brands’ tone of voice and positioning and ensure that all client requirements are executed in a timely and accurate manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute digital campaigns for your assigned brands.
  • Perform monthly detailed desktop research into our clients, their brands, their categories, and competitors across multiple markets.
  • Set, plan, and implement digital media and communication campaigns and strategies.
  • Provide engaging text, image, and video content for all social media and professional accounts.
  • Respond to customers/fans/followers promptly.
  • Monitor, track, and report on feedback and online reviews.
  • Organize and execute events and experiences to boost brand awareness.
  • Coordinate with Marketing, PR, and Communications teams on the client side, where required.
  • Identify opportunities for clients to use digital technology to enhance their overall marketing mix: product, price, place, or promotion.
  • Social brand planning, execution evaluation and analytics.
  • Community Management and development of social calendars as required.
  • Expand the impact/role of content and creative communication in the client’s marketing mix as appropriate.
  • Ensure all communication is in line with brand guidelines and audience understanding.
  • Develop and execute sound, well-thought-out media plans based on client marketing direction.
  • Be balanced in the creative-digital-content mix and support the team with quality content marketing excellence.
  • Provide end-to-end project management support for all campaigns, activities and engagements with the client.

Qualifications & Skills

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience working as a Digital account manager, digital account executive or brand strategist within the digital, creative and advertising space.
  • Minimum of HND/B.Sc. in relevant discipline.
  • Efficient analytical, and problem-solving abilities, along with an ability to multitask in a fast-paced start-up environment.
  • Effective time management skills – the ability to prioritize and meet project deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Excellent written, listening and communication skills.
  • Strategic thinker able to identify long-term opportunities and trends
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Self-motivated with a positive and professional approach to management.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of industry trends as well as current trends in digital media/social media to enable the brand to stay ahead of the curve.
  • Ability to adopt new technology relevant for execution on the job.
