Job Summary

  • We are seeking a dedicated Enterprise Application Support Specialist to manage the day-to-day operations of critical business applications.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in managing application servers, basic knowledge of database operations, workflow administration, data ingestion and ETL management, and APIs Gateway management.
  • This role requires hands-on support for enterprise applications, ensuring uptime, performance, and seamless integration with business processes, with a basic understanding of telecom data streams.

Key Responsibilities
Application Server Management:

  • Manage and maintain enterprise application servers such as Weblogic, Apache, Tomcat, and others.
  • Monitor and optimize application server performance to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Perform routine maintenance, updates, and patching on application servers, adhering to security protocols.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application server issues, coordinating with other IT teams as necessary.

Database Operations Support:

  • Provide basic support for database operations, including Oracle, MySQL, and SQL Server environments.
  • Assist in routine database maintenance tasks such as backups, performance monitoring, and indexing.
  • Collaborate with database administrators to troubleshoot database-related issues and maintain data integrity.
  • Monitor database connections and ensure proper data flow between applications and databases.

Workflow Administration:

  • Administer and manage workflows within enterprise applications, ensuring that business processes run smoothly.
  • Troubleshoot workflow issues, such as failures or performance bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with business users to configure and modify workflows based on evolving business needs.
  • Ensure that workflows are documented and adhere to company processes.

Data Ingestion and ETL Management:

  • Oversee and manage data ingestion processes, ensuring that data from various sources is ingested correctly into the systems.
  • Administer ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to maintain data pipelines and ensure timely and accurate data transformation.
  • Monitor ETL jobs for performance and troubleshoot any failures or inconsistencies.
  • Collaborate with data teams to optimize data ingestion and ETL processes for better performance and reliability.

API Gateway Management:

  • Manage and monitor API gateways, ensuring that applications communicate effectively with internal and external systems.
  • Perform regular monitoring of API usage, performance, and security, ensuring that API traffic is handled efficiently.
  • Troubleshoot API integration issues and coordinate with development teams to resolve API-related problems.
  • Maintain API documentation and ensure that API configurations are aligned with business and technical requirements.

Incident Management and Troubleshooting:

  • Act as the first point of contact for enterprise application issues, providing timely and effective support to internal users.
  • Troubleshoot application issues, work closely with other technical teams, and escalate to senior support or vendors when necessary.
  • Document and track incidents, ensuring that root cause analysis is conducted and corrective actions are implemented.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain detailed documentation of application configurations, workflows, API connections, and operational procedures.
  • Provide regular reports on system performance, incidents, and trends to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Document troubleshooting steps and resolutions for common issues to support knowledge sharing within the team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in enterprise application support or a related role.
  • Hands-on experience with application servers like WebLogic, Apache, Tomcat, or similar technologies.
  • Basic understanding of database operations in Oracle, MySQL, and SQL Server environments.
  • Experience with workflow administration, ETL management, and API gateways.
  • Basic knowledge of telecom data streams and data ingestion practices.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical information effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with telecom data handling, especially CDRs (Call Detail Records).
  • Certifications in any of the relevant technologies such as WebLogic, Oracle Database, or API Management platforms.
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting tools to ensure system health and performance.
