JOB SUMMARY
- Responsible for leading and overseeing the IT departments to deliver software, infrastructure and architecture that meet the needs of users, in line with best practices. Develop and deliver a strategic technological vision and direction for the Group, and effectively communicate project lifecycles to all stakeholders.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Develop and execute IT policies in line with best practices; Responsible for the maintenance and development of internal and external IT support systems.
- Ensure delivery of consistent and agile processes across the team;
- Define and maintain the IT strategy and infrastructure plan;
- Review and apply best practices to establish architecture and frameworks consistent with and supportive of the product Strategy;
- Identify and implement technology trends that will support the future success of the business;
- Manage all existing websites and keep them up to date;
- Create, implement and maintain a continuous improvement plan for software development and IT infrastructure;
- Implement a mechanism to monitor, manage and provide progress on all software development activities
- Research the external environment, and where appropriate, identify and recommend external partners for the delivery of best-in-class technologies suitable for the Group’s applications;
- Communicate project lifecycles effectively to the Executives and other stakeholders;
- Work effectively with Project Managers and Product Owners to ensure delivery against agreed priorities;
- Collaborate with the appropriate functions and users to evaluate and identify technology platforms for delivering the company’s products and internal services;
- Work with developers to design algorithms and flowcharts.
- Accountable for on-time and to specification delivery of software development projects;
- Work closely with the COO to meet current and future user needs;
- Articulate to colleagues, Trustees and user communities, the company’s technological vision, opportunities, and challenges as agreed with the COO
- Understand the use cases (and/or user stories) to oversee the design of the architecture for the products to be built;
- Ensure the technology standards and best practices are maintained across the organization.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or a related course from a reputable institution.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be proficient in the use of React; however, View JS is an added advantage
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

- Familiarity with regulatory requirements – SEC or CBN at a minimum

WORK EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a similar role
- Demonstrable experience in leading a team
- Experience developing and executing IT policies, procedures and familiarity with best practice
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a financial services firm.
