Job Summary:
The Head of Brands & Marketing will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of branding and marketing strategies and campaigns for a leading brand in the Quick Service Restaurant space in Nigeria. The primary goal of the role is to drive overall brand strategy and positioning, revenue growth, customer acquisition and retention through effective branding, marketing and communication strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Define the brand's unique value proposition and positioning in the market, while monitoring market trends and the competitive landscape to identify opportunities to project the appropriate brand image.
- Develop and implement effective marketing strategies and campaigns that support the company’s growth objectives and align with the brand’s image and identity.
- Drive market research initiatives and analysis to identify target customers, customer preferences, competitive landscape, and emerging trends in the quick-service restaurant industry.
- Develop and manage the annual marketing budget and ensure that all marketing activities are within budget.
- Oversee the development of advertising and promotional materials, such as print and digital ads, social media campaigns, email marketing, and in-store signage.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams, including creatives, contents and digital marketing to develop compelling campaigns that drive customer engagements.
- Manage and analyze the effectiveness of marketing campaigns to ensure ROI and adjust strategies as needed.
- Develop and maintain relationships with media outlets and influencers to secure media coverage and endorsements.
- Lead the development and execution of customer loyalty and retention programs.
- Collaborate with the operations team to ensure marketing programs are executed in-store effectively and consistently across all locations.
- Develop and manage relationships with external partners and vendors, such as printers, photographers, and production companies.
- Manage the company’s digital marketing efforts including website content, social media channels, email marketing and online ads.
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly and annual reports to senior management
Requirements:
- First degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a brand or marketing manager with a proven record of success in marketing.
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing effective marketing campaigns.
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms.
- Creative and innovative mindset
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in leading and developing a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and marketing automation tools.
- Knowledge of social media platforms and digital marketing techniques.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
