We started with small scale supply of diesel into small storages for Banks, Homes and Guest Houses. We also sold trucks of diesel and LPG to manufacturing companies such as Flour Mills of Nig., BOC Gases, Dunlop PLC, BAGCO PLC and so many Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) filling plants across Nigeria. Our supplies were sourced from major oil Companies such as Total PLC, Uni-petrol PLC. (Now OandO), AP PLC. (Now Forte Oil), Mobil Nigeria PLC amongst others.

Job Objective / Summary

The Microsoft Dynamics NAV Application Analyst and Power BI Specialist will be responsible for managing and optimizing the Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision) ERP system and creating insightful Power BI reports to support business decision-making. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the systems meet business requirements, troubleshooting issues, providing user support and training, and leveraging Power BI for advanced data analytics and reporting.
 
Responsibilities

Lead or participate in the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics NAV projects, including system setup, configuration, and customization.

  • Provide daily support and troubleshooting for Dynamics NAV users.
  • Analyze current business processes and identify opportunities for improvement using Dynamics NAV.

Ensure that system configuration aligns with business processes and requirements.

  • Develop and implement new processes and workflows within the system.
  •  Collaborate with departments to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements.

  • Monitor system performance and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.

Perform regular system maintenance, updates, and backups.

  • Design, develop, and deploy Power BI reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights.
  • Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from Dynamics NAV and other data sources into Power BI.

Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency in reports and dashboards.

 

  • Conduct user training sessions and create comprehensive training materials for both Dynamics NAV and Power BI.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, including user manuals, process flows, and configuration guides.
  • Design and generate custom reports using Dynamics NAV reporting tools and Power BI.

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience developing reports and dashboards in Power BI.
  • Experience in ERP system implementation and support.

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics NAV, including system configuration and customization.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with SQL Server Management Studio.
  •  Proficiency in Power BI, including data modelling, DAX, and Power Query.

Experience

  •    Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  •    Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
  •    Experience in ERP system implementation and support.
