Key Responsibilities
System Maintenance and Monitoring:
- Assist in the daily monitoring of systems and other IT infrastructure.
- Perform routine system checks and maintenance tasks to ensure optimal operation.
User Support:
- Provide first-line support to end-users for IT-related issues, resolving technical problems and answering queries.
- Escalate complex issues to management team members when necessary.
Software and Hardware Management:
- Install, configure, and update software applications and operating systems.
- Assist in the setup and maintenance of hardware components including desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices.
Security and Backup:
- Implement and monitor security measures to protect IT systems and data from breaches or attacks.
- Perform regular data backups and ensure disaster recovery processes are in place.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of system configurations, changes, and incidents.
- Generate IT assets reports and regular updates.
- Track all IT related requisition expenses for optimal spend.
Compliance and Best Practices:
- Adhere to IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to suggest improvements.
Project Assistance:
- Support IT projects, such as system upgrades, migrations, and new installations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project milestones are met.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience: 0-2 years of experience in IT support or systems administration.
- Certifications: Any related additional certification are advantageous.
