ARNERGY is a distributed utility technology company that leverage Internet of Things (IoT) to deploy affordable, reliable distributed solar energy solutions to rural and urban consumers and SMEs across Nigeria on a monthly subscription model. We custom design solar energy systems for commercial and residential clients using tried and tested, intelligent solar energy system ensuring Africans have 24/7 power in their homes while reducing operating expenses of African businesses saving them huge costs otherwise spent on diesel/petrol generator maintenance and increased revenue otherwise lost to cut in production.

You’ll focus on:

Brand Management

  • Developing annual brand plan and marketing strategy to establish and maintain brand presence in the market
  • Supporting development multi-year marketing plan
  • Leveraging data, customer insights, and competitive/market research to identify and prioritize areas of opportunity to evolve our brand positioning, messaging and creative
  • Effectively managing creative agencies to develop advertising, digital and PR plans & programs
  • Launching and overseeing all traditional and digital advertising for Arnergy
  • Managing the creative process from concept to completion
  • Proactively reporting results, trends and improvement opportunities
  • Providing creative leadership and direction for execution of media strategy
  • Managing related budgets and provide leadership on best allocation of resources

Digital

  • Leading and managing the digital creative team to ensure visual ID, graphic design, brand experience and content drive engagement, conversion rates and enrollment on website on an ongoing basis
  • Working with business journey owners, agencies/partners and technology teams to ensure that all brand deliverable are being met
  • Overseeing digital media strategy and measure results for SEO, paid search, OTT, display ads, boosted social and paid social to drive conversion. Adjust creative and targeting/retargeting, links and media as needed to reduce Cost per Action (CPA), and increase efficiency and effectiveness
  • Managing social media strategy and blog planning, content and analytics. Building audience and messaging
  • Working with marketing analytics team to track and monitor website marketing analytics on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis to meet enrollment goals

Communications

  • Leading development of content and communications strategy to ensure we have a consistent message and tone across communications platforms
  • Providing leadership in the development of customer communications and marketing collateral
  • Developing strategic and creative solutions to communication challenges to ensure key messages are effectively shared with appropriate external and internal audiences
  • Leadership of all key corporate communications including concept development, writing/editing, production and distribution; and managing external agencies
  • Providing support and guidance on community giving strategy, as it relates to PR and brand goals

Team Leadership

  • Providing leadership, planning, and managing to facilitate running an effective and efficient team that increases brand awareness and drives customer growth
  • Promoting proactive approaches to solving business needs and problems
  • Developing and managing a strong team through the hiring of diverse and skilled talent, strong performance management and personnel development, and clear goal setting and results tracking
  • Setting performance standards and hold team members and vendors accountable

Marketing

  • Managing the design of Social Media posts on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and any other channel
  • Providing ROI analysis of all marketing campaigns and sales activities
  • Analyzing marketing metrics to identify cause-effect relationships between marketing actions and financial outcomes to increase profitability
  • Conducting market research to: analyze competitors; determine brand perceptions; evaluate market penetration; understand customer needs
  • Developing focus groups and surveys to capture market research data as well as periodic customer satisfaction surveys and compile results report
  • Completing competitive analysis to maintain our competitive advantage
  • Managing market segmentation, targeting, and positioning exercises as needed
  • Integrating Marketing research data with our CRM system to create new leads
  • Monitoring and track competitive advertisements, PR, and website messaging
  • Ensuring all team members provide high-quality customer service
  • Monitoring the delivery of the brand direction and recommending areas of improvement
  • Creating and implementing a long-term communication strategy, producing a yearly commercial calendar plan, liaising with the relevant departments about marketing related issues, at the same time cultivating a positive working relationship with them
  • Acting as the brand’s spokesperson with media relations
  • Formulating and implementing public relations strategies
  • Selecting and managing communications with external agencies, as well as develops media marketing strategies and other non-campaign activities
  • Providing strategic input and direction for the brand, while keeping the company’s vision, mission, and objectives in mind; and advising internal and external stakeholders on issues relevant to the brand
  • Doing everything else as assigned by your Line Manager

REQUIREMENT AND SKILLS

You’ll be a good fit for this role if you have:

  • Experience from E-Commerce, FMCG and Banking/Microfinance
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study.
  • A Postgraduate degree in a relevant field is an advantage.
  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in advertising, marketing, or social media marketing.
  • Possess high knowledge in marketing and public relations.

  • Highly motivated, well organized, detail-oriented, creative and innovative, and possess good time management skills.
  • Ability to multitask, do market research and analyze results effectively, prioritize and influence stakeholders; most importantly understand the target market and its dynamics.
