Job Overview

  • The MIS/Innovations Officer is responsible for supporting the daily IT operations of Idmibok International and its subsidiaries, including computer hardware and software, and thus has a direct impact on the productivity of colleagues.
  • S/he will conceptualize and develop graphic materials including infographics and data visualization, presentations, online publications, one-pagers, reports, and other communication materials as needed.
  • S/he will also manage/monitor the websites for Idmibok and its subsidiaries including maintaining optimal website performance, developing content for the website, and performing regular updates.

Responsibilities

  • Provide the first tier of technical support for staff based in the region, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues with a focus on customer service.
  • Support web design, development, and management including regularly updating the website by adding resources, events, pages, announcements, etc.
  • Design content graphics and layout, including electronic newsletters, campaign graphics, infographics, fact sheets, and announcements.
  • Support the New Business team with graphic design on the technical proposals and other relevant materials.
  • Computer hardware and application installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance (laptops, desktops, printers, mobile phones, Windows OS updates, approved 3rd party software updates, Microsoft Office suite) following Idmibok and its subsidiaries' established procedures.
  • Advise and execute IT/MIS efforts, including developing and designing mobile apps, and communication tools, drafting proposals using Adobe Suite, and all business and communication materials.
  • Aid in the local procurement of IT-related equipment with regard to the organization’s standards.
  • Contribute to the design, management, and implementation of all country office, IT/MIS projects.
  • Provide continued IT support to all staff by ensuring software and antivirus updates are current, managing and administering user accounts, etc.
  • Take ownership of the onboarding and separation processes.
  • Support workshop and meeting audio-video technology.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree or a Master’s degree in Computer Science / IT, Data Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, or other related fields. Only candidates holding a 2:1 degree will be considered.
  • 5 years of experience in providing technical support in a complex organization.
  • Proven expertise in Graphics Design using Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, specifically with mockups, web design, and multimedia presentations.
  • Practical experience in web design, development, and management.
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects etc.), databases (SQL, etc), and programming (XML, Javascript, or ETL frameworks).
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize, self-start, contribute under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Familiarity with database technologies and web hosting tools.
  • Familiarity with common web and social tools (e.g., Google Analytics, social platform analytics).
  • Expertise in Microsoft operating systems and applications: 7, 10; Office 2013, 2016, 2019, Office 365.
  • Experience configuring and supporting peripherals: docking stations, monitors, printers, etc.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
