Job Description
- The Network Administrator will be responsible for ensuring the company’s network operates with maximum uptime, providing fast and reliable connections for both employees and infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Ensure maximum uptime of the company’s network to provide fast and reliable connections.
- Design and implement new network solutions and improve the efficiency of current networks.
- Monitor and troubleshoot the entire network and report network status to key stakeholders.
- Maintain all network devices.
- Back up critical configuration information for core and other critical network devices (routers and switches).
- Configure routing and switching to maximize network efficiency and security.
- Update network equipment to the latest firmware releases.
- Attend to other assignments as directed by the Head of Department.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or any related field
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification or Huawei Certified Network Professional (HCNP)
- Hands-on experience with routing and switching protocols.
- Thorough understanding of TCP/IP, OSI models.
- Knowledgeable in various network concepts, protocols, designs, and implementation.
- Deep understanding and experience with Cisco and Huawei network devices.
- Proficiency in network fault identification and monitoring tools.
- Liaising with OEM, vendor and third party for support on the network.
- Excellent judgment, analytical, troubleshooting, and reporting skills.
- Strong communication skills (oral and written), teamwork abilities, and problem-solving skills.
