JOB SUMMARY

You will ensure quality standards and service commitments are achieved through effective monitoring and coordination of Ama – Zuma Services Limited. Also, acts as the primary interface with management on technical and engineering deliverables within the Group.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  1. Oversee the daily activities of the operations department
  2. Communicate relevant information and feedback from management to Field Operations Team Leads, Field Service Engineers, Operators, and Others.
  3. Monitor management of network assets across regions and trigger consequence management where evidence of mismanagement arises.
  4. Review the need for Capex replacement and trigger the replacement request process.
  5. Maintain excellent relationships via strong stakeholder management, and communication practices at all levels
  6. Participate in Contract negotiations to reduce cost
  7. Develop and coordinate the implementation of a tactical intervention plan to improve network site/cluster utilization, profitability, and revenue generation.
  8. Clearly and concisely communicate new processes to team members
  9. Oversee fueling and servicing of generator set on sites
  10. Check and ensure servicing proposals and fueling proposals are well prepared before forwarding to the Audit department
  11. Review the daily activities of the operation unit especially as it concerns the alarms
  12. Monitor /supervise mobile generator deployment to sites
  13. Daily check on the engineers at sites to ensure seamless activity thereby reducing site down
  14. Ensure collated forms from engineers by the operations unit are signed timely and follow up to the stage of getting the monthly clearance
  15. Manage and appraise the performance of Field Operations Team Leaders based on set Key Result Areas (KRAs). Identify training needs and act as a mentor to subordinates.
  16. Ensure clearance forms from the operations unit are presented timely and accurately.
  17. Ensure the Admin Manager gets a monthly servicing report from the operations unit
  18. Negotiate with vendors for effective costing
  19. Monitor the store unit, especially servicing materials and vehicle parts in stock
  20. Periodic visitation to sites for updates
  21. Other duties as may be assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  1. A minimum of B.Sc / HND in a relevant field.
  2. 12 - 20 years of professional experience as a Senior Manager with experience in Telecoms Operations.
  3. Strong problem-solving skills; experience identifying and resolving issues independently based on initiative.
  4. Proactive in nature and accountable in practice; clear ownership over results and quality of work
  5. Structured, logical, and creative thinking.
  6. Established track record in driving cross-functional initiatives and/or building workflows and process improvements within teams that produce measurable impact.
