Job Overview
- As a Publicity Officer, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic publicity plans to promote our brand, products, and services.
- This role encompasses brand design, visual design, advertising, brand marketing, content marketing, content strategy, digital marketing, and email marketing.
- You will work closely with the marketing and communications team to ensure our messages are effectively conveyed to our target audience through various channels. This role involves both strategic planning and hands-on operational tasks to achieve our publicity goals.
Responsibilities
Strategic Functions:
- Develop and implement comprehensive publicity strategies aligned with the company’s objectives.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with key media contacts, influencers, and industry stakeholders.
- Analyze market trends and public perception to adjust strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with senior management to align publicity efforts with overall business goals.
- Plan and coordinate high-profile publicity campaigns, events, and initiatives to boost brand visibility.
- Develop and oversee brand design and visual design strategies to ensure a consistent and compelling brand image.
- Create and execute advertising campaigns that resonate with our target audience.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of publicity strategies, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Operational Functions:
- Write and distribute press releases, media kits, and other promotional materials.
- Manage and respond to media inquiries and interview requests.
- Organize and oversee press conferences, media briefings, and public events.
- Develop and maintain a media contact database.
- Monitor media coverage and track public sentiment about the company.
- Assist in the creation of content for social media, the company website, newsletters, and other communication platforms.
- Develop and implement content marketing and content strategy plans.
- Support and execute digital marketing and email marketing campaigns.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistency in messaging and branding across all publicity materials.
- Support crisis communication efforts and manage the dissemination of information during critical situations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years Proven experience as a Publicity Officer or similar role in public relations or communications.
- Strong understanding of media relations and publicity strategies.
- Proficiency in brand design and visual design principles.
- Experience in advertising, brand marketing, content marketing, content strategy, digital marketing, and email marketing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in using media monitoring and PR software.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
