Job Description:
The Social Media and Communications Intern will play a vital role in developing and executing our social media strategy, creating engaging content, and enhancing our online presence. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in digital marketing and communications within the cleantech industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Social Media Management:
- Develop and implement marketing and social media strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement.
- Create, schedule and manage marketing campaigns with engaging content for various social media platforms, including Facebook, Tik tok, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram.
- Monitor and analyze social media performance using analytics tools and report on key metrics.
- Develop and implement strategies to attract new commercial and residential clients.
- Develop client retention programs to encourage repeat business.
- Conduct market research to identify growth opportunities.
- Set and achieve sales targets, tracking progress and adjusting strategies as needed.
- Maintain and update customer databases, ensuring accurate records of client interactions.
- Collaborate with the Operations Manager to align sales and marketing efforts with operational capabilities.
Content Creation:
- Develop creative and informative content, including blog posts, articles, infographics, and multimedia content, that aligns with our brand voice and mission.
- Collaborate with the trending advert and execute content campaigns that promote our cleantech solutions.
Community Engagement:
- Engage with our online community by responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and professional manner.
- Identify and engage with industry influencers and potential partners to expand our network and reach.
Public Relations:
- Draft press releases, media alerts, and other communication materials.
- Monitor media coverage and compile reports on our public relations efforts.
- Support the planning and execution of events and webinars to promote our brand and products.
- Market Research:
- Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve our communication strategies and tactics.
Deliverables:
- Increase client base by 20% within the first year.
- Achieve a 90% client retention rate.
- Implement at least three successful marketing campaigns within the first six months
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree/HND degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in using social media platforms and management tools.
- Fluent in Hausa, Kanuri, and English
- Strong knowledge of graphic design and video editing software.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Passion for sustainability and clean technology.
- Proven experience in sales and marketing, preferably in the service industry.
- Strong analytical and strategic planning skills.
- Proficient in digital marketing and social media management.
- Knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM) software.
- Ability to conduct market research and analyze data
