POSITION SUMMARY

  • A Social Media Manager is responsible for developing and executing social media strategies to grow and engage the organization's online community.
  • They create content, monitor social media channels, analyze performance, and interact with the audience to build brand awareness, drive traffic, and achieve marketing objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  •  Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of social media efforts
  • Create and curate engaging and relevant content for various social media platforms, including text, images, videos, and other multimedia formats.
  • Develop a content calendar and schedule posts for optimal reach and engagement.
  • Monitor social media channels for mentions, comments, and messages, and respond in a timely and professional manner.
  • Foster engagement and build relationships with the online community by actively participating in conversations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to grow the organization's social media following and expand its online presence.
  • Utilize paid advertising and other techniques to reach target audiences.
  • Monitor social media analytics and track performance using tools like Google Analytics, social media insights, and other relevant platforms.
  • Create regular reports to assess the effectiveness of social media campaigns and suggest improvements
  • Plan and execute social media advertising campaigns on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
  • Optimize ad campaigns for maximum ROI and reach.
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging social media platforms to ensure the organization remains competitive and innovative.
  • Develop and implement a crisis management plan to address and mitigate negative situations or controversies on social media platforms.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field (relevant experience can be considered in place of formal education).
  • Proven experience as a Social Media Manager or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in using various social media platforms and social media management tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creativity and an eye for design to create compelling visual content.
  • Data-driven and analytical mindset to assess social media performance.
  • Familiarity with social media advertising platforms.
