Job Summary:

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical and IT Specialist to join our Warehouse and E-commerce Operations team.  
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and improving the technological infrastructure of our warehouse and E-commerce platforms.
  • This role involves ensuring seamless operations, troubleshooting technical issues, and implementing new technologies to enhance productivity and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Support and Troubleshooting: Provide technical support for warehouse management systems (WMS), E-commerce platforms, and related software. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues within the warehouse and E-commerce operations. Maintain and upgrade IT systems, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • System Management: Oversee the integration and functionality of the WMS, E-commerce platforms, and other related systems. Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all systems, performing regular audits and updates. Manage user accounts, permissions, and security settings for all relevant systems.
  • Infrastructure Development: Collaborate with the Operations Manager and other stakeholders to identify and implement technological improvements. Develop and maintain IT policies and procedures to ensure the security and efficiency of all systems. Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for hardware, software, and network services.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Generate and analyze reports on warehouse and E-commerce operations, identifying areas for improvement. Implement data tracking and analysis tools to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs). Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support decision-making processes.
  • Training and Documentation: Conduct training sessions for warehouse staff and other users on new systems and technologies. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all IT systems and processes. Create user manuals and guides to assist staff with technology-related tasks.
  • Project Management: Lead and participate in IT projects aimed at improving warehouse and E-commerce operations. Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.

Qualifications

  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in IT support, preferably within a warehouse or E-commerce environment
  • Proven experience with WMS and E-commerce platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Shopify, Magento, etc.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of network and system administration.
  • Proficiency in database management and SQL.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing and storage solutions.
  • Experience with data analysis tools and reporting software.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Certifications (Preferred): CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+. Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate. Certified Information Systems Security Professional
